Last time I did this one seriously in Single op/Mixed high power category was back in year 2002. So, exactly ten years. Actually, I've worked the contest during last four years as part of national HQ team, but it is really different approach when you have to operate as single op. Thanks to 9A9T, I was able to operate SO2R, as he borrowed me radio and amp for 2nd radio. And, with big help of 9A9HI and 9A5LUG, I was able to install air-condition system in the shack, which made a big difference when you operate in the contest during summertime.

As I didn't tested this antenna setup in SO2R configuration, it was also interesting to see how much interference would be present between the bands, radios and all other equipment. Seems fine, with usage of ICE 419 bandpass filters, there was just some small QRM from opposite radio while listening to other one.

Again, same as in WPX CW in May, 15m was big surprise. I've started a contest on 20m phone, which was a mistake, as 15m was wide open during Saturday afternoon. Couldn't make significant run on 20m during first hour, later moved on 15m with run radio. During the contest, it was also a problem with making some run on phone, don't know exactly why? CW was much better for me during the whole contest period.

My goal was to pass 2.500 qsos, 300 multipliers and 2.7m points, but due to high activity and a lot of HQ multipliers active, at the end of the contest final score was 2.736 qsos, 356 mults and 3.063.736 points.

The only problem during the contest was interaction between 40 and 20 meters, as I am using dualband yagi (2 + 4 element) on single boom with separate coax for each band, but something went wrong with this and I wasn't able to use it during same time at both radios.
